About
I’m a girl from the UK, graduated from university, working from home and questioning life. I like to get philosophical from time to time – half the fun comes from asking the questions and not knowing the answers.
About ‘Marmalade Skies’
Marmalade Skies is a lyric from the Beatles’ song ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’, featured on the albums Sergeant Pepper and Yellow Submarine (the soundtrack to the film of the same name). There’s a lot of interesting trivia about it on Wikipedia if you care to look it up, but the real reason I chose to use it as the name for my blog is that it colourfully describes a wonderful imagined place and reflects my passion for the Beatles!
I also stole Beatles lyrics to name my post categories -
A Day In The Life: Everyday ramblings about my life.
If You’ve Got Trouble…: Complaining about or questioning the things that cause me hassle.
Imagine: My thoughts and feelings about life in general (semi-philosophical). (OK, this is a John Lennon one)
Paperback Writer: Posts about writing and blogging.
The Word Is Love: My love life, and the meaning of love in general.
What Matters: Anything else that is important in my life (this one isn’t a Beatles lyric, feel free to suggest something!)
